MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM CARE

Multidisciplinary care is not only the accepted and collaborative approach to cancer treatment planning and ongoing care, but also provides extra benefits in terms of care coordination, supportive care and reducing unwarranted variation in the care of cancer patients.

At our regular, fortnightly cancer multidisciplinary meetings (MDMs), a range of health professionals with expertise in the diagnosis and management of cancer, integrate and discuss individual cases with the purpose of facilitating best practice and consensus management of all patients with cancer.
